Cube Ent has regained a double-digit figure in terms of Operating Profit Margin in 2013

As compared to 2012, their sales (or revenue) has dropped by 13.6% in 2013 but operating profit has risen by a huge 590.2%.

 

Cube’s Operating Profit (OP) was 20% in previous years, but faced a sharp drop to 4.2% in 2012. One of the reasons was that admin expenses had doubled and also salary payment and treatment fees for President Hong was beard by Cube.

 

However, after the partnership with IHQ in September last year, and in efforts to be listed, Cube took steps to cut and control their costs. Admin expenses were cut by 40.9% in 2013, including a reduction for outfits, recording fees as well as a cut of key mgmt’s salary by 60.4%.  Marketing, advertising and distribution costs were reduced as well.

 

Cube have a bright prospective based on its growing performance, which may even changed the perception of the market.

Hyuna to appear in 'Funny or Die' with Rita Ora

Hyuna will make her appearance in famous American comedy show "Funny or Die". On March 12th, Cube Entertainment revealed,"On March 11th (local time), Hyuna met Rita Ora and finished the recording for "Funny or Die". 

She will also visit Texas to attend "South by South West 2014"". Rita Ora is a British singer-songwriter and actress who is called "The 2nd Rihanna". Many people are looking forward to this collaboration between the two singers. Previously f(x) also appeared in "Funny or Die" with Anna Kendrick and it became a hot topic thanks to the girls' witty and funny characters on the show.

Lady Gaga attends K-Pop Night Out in Texas & dances to Hyuna's Bubble Pop

International singer Lady Gaga drops by at the K-Pop Night Out showcase in Austin, Texas, on the sidelines of the South by SouthWest (SXSW) happening at the moment on March 12.

 Lady Gaga enters the venue wearing a casual get up, cap and sunglasses, sorrounded by bodyguards. She is watching Jay Park's stage performance and other South Korean singers.

The host of the event, Korean Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) said, "I have been with Lady Gaga from the side of the venue while she was waiting. As I know, she has a lot of interest in Kpop."

The event started at 7PM until 2AM with performaces from Jay Park, 4Minute's Hyuna, Nell, Giha and the Faces, Jambinai, IDIOTAPE and Crying Nut and more.

4Minute's new song is deemed inappropriate for broadcast on SBS

One of the songs in 4Minute's new mini album was banned from broadcasting on SBS. 

On March 14th, Cube Entertainment revealed through various media outlets that "Come In" which are sung by Hyuna and Gayoon was disqualified to broadcast on SBS. The reason is because they thought the lyrics are too sensual . 

The agency also said that they passed the deliberation from MBC and they are still waiting for the result from   KBS. They won't have any plan to request for another reconsideration from SBS, and won't have any changes on the lyrics

Meanwhile, "4Minute's World" mini album will be released on March 17th

4MINUTE couldn't make their fans at ease as they release a set of teaser photos showing their upcoming concept. 

Cube's Facebook uploaded the photos of their Facebook account with a caption ''4MINUTE DIARY - MONDAY @ PING PONG PUB#4MINUTE #WhatAreYouDoingToday #4MINUTE_WORLD" 

In the photos, the polaroid-like shots of the girls reveal them in a ping pong pub wearing stylish and chic outfits while eating some snacks.
